Position Pittsburgh as an Inclusive and Welcoming Destination for LGBTQ+ Travelers
According to a 2022 Booking.Com survey of American LGBTQIA+ travelers, 67 percent reported they are more likely to travel to a place that celebrates the local LGBTQIA+ community. As such, it is important for destination management organizations to build a strong image of themselves as a queer-inclusive destination through marketing campaigns, as well as develop queer-friendly experiences with the support of local LGBTQIA+ leaders and allies who know the community best.
