Support Creation of New Arts/Culture Products and Experiences

According to a community survey conducted as part of the destination master planning process, local respondents shared that access to arts and culture is an important factor when choosing to live in Pittsburgh. In order to retain residents and workers in the region, in addition to attracting new regional visitors, Pittsburgh will need to expand its selection of cultural events and festivals throughout the calendar year. In particular, stakeholders shared that the city’s historic architecture and fast-growing collection of public art remain untapped assets for cultural tourism.
